Cape Byron Steiner School multi purpose hall and Merici College gym

Cape Byron Steiner School needed their new hall to cater for many purposes. The school needed a space capable of housing assemblies, musical and drama performances and rehearsals, and indoor sports including rock climbing. Julie worked in collaboration with Toni Appleton and Malcolm Price, two local building designers, and the result is a highly successful space which has become the heart of the school campus.

Earlier, in her role at Woods Bagot in Canberra, Julie designed and project managed the conversion of the former church at Merici College, a catholic girls high school in Canberra, into a much needed gymnasium.  This project won the RAIA ACT Chapter Best Public Building Award in 2002.
